Travelers from the USA need to apply online for a visa prior to your visit. Visitors from most African Union nations can apply for a visa on arrival. Please check the two sets of websites below for details.

The discounted Early Bird registration for the conference will begin on March 5, 2023, and end on April 5, 2023.

*Registration fee covers conference brochure, keynote speakers, and a banquet.

  • International faculty/K-12educators/researchers (out of the African continent) $230 (early- bird registration $200)
  • African faculty/researchers/policymakers $100 (early-bird registration $80)
  • African Teacher education faculty $35 (higher education faculty not included)-early-bird registration $30)
  • African Students and k-12 teachers $12 (early-bird registration $10)
  • Non-African students $60 (early-bird registration $50)

Airport Info

The nearest international airport to Cape Coast University is Kotoka International Airport in Accra, Ghana (Airport codes: ACC, DGAA).

Transportation from Airport to Cape Coast

The distance separating the two cities is 91 miles (147 km). The University of Cape Coast is providing ground transportation between the airport in Accra and Cape Coast from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Those who arrive later than 6 p.m. will have to spend the night in Accra and they will be picked up in the morning. When you have made your travel plans, please email your itinerary (airline and hotel site) to Professor Rosemary Bosu so the Local Organizing Committee can help plan shuttle transport to and from Accra.
Most international conference participants will stay at Elmina Beach Resort and Ridge Royal. There will be university buses shuttling between the hotels and the conference site.
