The 1st World Conference on Transformative Education (WCTE) was convened at the Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology in Kakamega, Kenya, July 26-28, 2018, under the conference theme of “Rethinking, Curriculum, Pedagogy and Research in Africa.”
The event brought presenters from many African nations, Puerto Rico, the USA, and Canada together to share research and curriculum solutions to address the need for educational reform.
One of the results of the conference was the beginning of a process to establish the Global Journal of Transformative Education.
